PROCEDURES FOR THE “BOB SANG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP”

The intent of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a Huntington High School (HHS) football player seeking post secondary education.

1.) Nomination by HHS coaching staff of seniors who need financial assistance for any type of accredited post secondary education. Candidates should reflect the following characteristics:

Being kind and respectful to every student and staff member
Offering their life to a cause (time, heart and thoughts)
Believing in the potential of anyone with the desire to achieve...dreaming we all could be

Solid character both on and off the football field
A respect for God and our country
Never dying loyalty to the team and coaches
Great love and respect for their family and a committed desire to improve their life.

2.) Each nominee will receive a survey of several questions concerning their past accomplishments, future plans and how playing football for HHS has affected their life.

3.) Once surveys are collected, a meeting of the Selection Committee will be held. Surveys will reviewed and athletes will be discussed, and a vote will be taken.

4.) A press release will be made as to the date set for the award to be presented to the recipient.

5.) A thank you letter will be sent to all candidates notifying them of the recipient.

6.) A plague will be made and placed on the statue of Coach Sang which will be updated with the award winners' names each year. Also a plague will be placed in the HHS trophy case that will be updated yearly.
